Pay Scale of the Union Navy Enlisted Man, 1864

The following table, as reproduced in the New York Times, of July, 1864, gives an indication of the amount the enlisted sailor was being paid, according to his rating on board ship.

The table is reproduced here as a guide for the Civil War Naval genealogist or researcher.
