Part 4 - January, 1873 to December, 1874.
INTRODUCTION.
The names transcribed from the ARGUS included in Part 4 cover the period from January, 1873 to December, 1874, with the exception of the lists for April, 1873 and February, 1874, which have not been located.
Details usually include the individual's name, age at death, nativity, year of arrival and vessel on which arrived, date of death and cause of death. The names are cross-referenced by number to the actual date on which the details appeared in the ARGUS. The reference guide is included at the end of the list of names.
All details have been transcribed exactly as shown in the lists, including spelling errors which occur often, especially where medical terms are shown. I have included the year of death in brackets for clarity. A small number of entries only show the individual's surname, and gender can be determined, in some cases, through the details shown for that entry.
