1970 SPS Drum Major, Gerard Ee.
A notice from the Straits Times, 1997,
relating to the death of former SPS student, Patrick Carroll.
Carroll had also been a former member of Singapore band,
The McCoys in the late 1960's. Another view showing
Carroll with fellow students in his pre-university class of 1970
can be seen above.
A publicity photograph of Perth (Australia) band of the 1980's, FACES, showing two former old boys from St. Patrick's School, Roger Prior (top, right), and Harvey Klass (bottom, left). Perth has a large contingent of Singapore expatriates, and no doubt a number of them are from St. Patrick's School. FACES is now defunct, and Roger resides in Cairns, Queensland.
Important Notice to all 'old boys' of St. Patrick's School!
A Request for Contributions to the School Archives:
The school is now forming an archives of historical material and memorabilia, and would like to request contributions from all former students, please. Instead of consigning your old report cards, photographs, badges, and other similar material to the rubbish bin, please consider sending such items to the school for storage, for the benefit of researchers and other students. Please contact Mr. Raj Gill, Head of the Department of Humanities, if you have anything of interest to contribute to the archives.
Any assistance is very much appreciated.

The Eurasian Company of the Singapore Volunteer Corps.
The Singapore Volunteer Corps was a militia unit formed in this British island colony in the 19th Century. At a later stage, island residents were permitted to enlist in the unit, resulting in the formation of Chinese, Malay and Eurasian Companies. This particular site relates to one of those Companies.
